Rainbow-Colored Shared Bikes are Now Available in Beijing
By Justine Lopez
Beijing is already home to basically every color of shared bike imaginable, so rainbow bikes were the logical next step. We’d been waiting for this one for a while. And now rainbow bikes are actually a thing.
A colorful new fleet of shared bikes was officially released over the weekend. The bikes have seven colors – red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and purple – and feature seven different designs. The color of the bikes’ frames, wheels and baskets also varies.
So, you know, you can pick the one that best matches your mood.

And, just in case you thought these bikes couldn’t get any better, they also feature glow-in-the-dark wheels.
The new bikes have smart locks and are available with a deposit of RMB99. They have been spotted in Beijing but they are also apparently available in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Nanjing. According to the company’s CEO Luo Haiyuan, the bikes will eventually be launched in other Chinese cities.
